Job description:
Are you a proactive individual looking for a career in fundraising? Would you like to use your excellent customer service skills to help raise money for exciting projects at a leading university?
As part of the Campaigns and Alumni Relations (CAR) department, you’ll help the University of Sheffield raise money for ambitious projects aimed at addressing some of society’s most difficult challenges. Generous donors to the University are driving social mobility through scholarships and hardship funding and supporting research into devastating diseases.
In this fast-paced and varied role, you’ll support the department’s work across all fundraising areas. You’ll provide a friendly and efficient first point of contact for donors, and assist the department with the wide range of fundraising we carry out; including legacies, mass fundraising, community fundraising and major gifts. You’ll support fundraising events, write reports and help to deliver digital and print communications, as well as providing administrative support across the team.
You’ll be part of a small and highly motivated team. We require someone who is flexible. Accuracy, attention to detail and excellent relationship building, in addition to communication and customer service skills are all essential to the role. This post will provide a fantastic opportunity for someone wishing to gain experience in a broad range of activities within a busy, customer-facing team.
There’s never been a better time to join us in this varied role. We have ambitious targets over the next few years through our Forged in Sheffield campaign (www.sheffield.ac.uk/forged). We need the right people to help us meet them.
