Are you passionate about applying your internet of things (IoT) knowledge and experience to drive innovation for UK manufacturers? At the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC), we are offering a unique opportunity to apply your technical skills to transform the future of high-value manufacturing.
As a Research Engineer in our Integrated Manufacturing Group (IMG), you will be leading the way in research and innovation. You will work with cutting-edge technologies, developing solutions that improve productivity, quality and sustainability for manufacturers both large and small. Establishing yourself as a specialist in your chosen field, you will technically lead research projects, problem-solve, and translate your research into impact.
You will expand your experience in industrial connectivity implementation, manufacturing traceability, and circularity. Working alongside a diverse, multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with both academic and industrial partners. You will also have opportunities to present at conferences, explore emerging technologies, and grow your expertise while helping the UK manufacturing sector thrive.
This is a role for someone who enjoys turning their ideas into real-world research applications, representing industrial processes in a digital environment, and working collaboratively to solve technical challenges. Whether your current experience comes from an academic or industrial background, what matters most is your motivation, curiosity, and drive to make an impact.
