About us
The new National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Reproductive Health Policy Research Unit (RHPRU) is a £5 million research investment over 35years with the core purpose of producing high quality research evidence to inform policy regarding reproductive health in England. The RHPRU is led by UCL as a multi-partner collaboration involving the Universities of Oxford, Birmingham, Warwick, LSHTM and Hywel Dda University Health Board. It has a focus on addressing health inequalities and working in a co-produced way with people the work impacts.
The RHPRU is hosted at the UCL EGA Institute for Women’s Health, whose mission is to bring together clinicians and researchers from a diverse range of disciplines to deliver excellence and innovation to make a real and sustainable difference to women's and babies’ health locally, nationally and worldwide.
About the role
The post-holder will assist the Unit Manager, Co-Directors, and programme leads in all aspects of the operational delivery of the NIHR RH-PRU. They will work on their own initiative and as part of a team to manage the research programme by providing proactive and professional administrative support and taking a lead role in the administration of patient and public involvement (PPI)/co-production activities.
Salary range is UCL Grade 6 £36,433- £41,833.
This role is an open-ended contract with a current funding end date of 31 December 2028
This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.

About you
You must have strong organisational skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, be adaptable and willing to use your initiative. Experience of working with PPI or volunteer groups in a university setting or policy environment, together with an interest in reproductive or women’s health are essential. You will be supported in developing a career and training plan and taking advantage of training and mentoring within the UCL environment.
