Background of role
Shape the future of marketing at one of the UK's leading modern universities.
Canterbury Christ Church University is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Head of Marketing to lead our performance marketing, campaign strategy and product marketing functions at a pivotal time for the institution.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly transformed Marketing, Digital and CRM directorate and play a leading role in delivering student recruitment growth across undergraduate, postgraduate and lifelong learning markets. Working closely with the Director of Marketing, Digital & CRM, you will ensure our marketing investment delivers measurable impact, strong return on investment and meaningful engagement with prospective students.

Who are we looking for?
As Head of Marketing, you will be a strategic and data-driven marketing leader with a strong track record of delivering high-performing campaigns that achieve measurable business outcomes.
You will bring significant experience leading marketing or performance marketing teams, developing integrated campaign strategies and using audience insight, analytics and market intelligence to drive decision-making. You will be equally comfortable discussing recruitment performance with senior leaders as you are coaching your team to deliver exceptional results.
You will have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong partnerships across academic and professional service teams. Experience of product marketing, market positioning, media planning and campaign optimisation is essential.
You will be educated to degree level (or hold equivalent professional experience) and be able to demonstrate significant success in leading performance-focused marketing activity.
