Online Tutor – School of Geography and Environmental Sciences (Part-Time Register)

Rate of Pay: Grade 6 – £32.46 per hour

Location: All duties will be delivered remotely; therefore, there is no requirement to attend the University campus, however,  the duties of this role must be performed from within the UK. 

Job Purpose:

Ulster University is recruiting online tutors to support its online Postgraduate Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems programmes.  These programmes are delivered entirely online and as such, online tutors are expected to be flexible to work the hours to meet the needs of the programmes and the on-line learners.

All tutoring will be conducted through the University’s virtual learning environment and associated online tools. They will supplement and support the Programme Director and Module Coordinator and be involved with contributing to curriculum delivery in a relevant specialist field and comprises tutoring, online assessment, marking, providing feedback and moderation, and this may also include supervising student projects.

Appointment to the register does not guarantee the offer of work.
