About the role
Are you an experienced PMO professional who thrives on bringing structure, clarity and strong governance to complex programmes? Do you enjoy working with senior stakeholders and enabling teams to deliver meaningful change? If so, we would love to hear from you.
We are seeking a PMO Manager to join Imperial’s Transformation Portfolio Team, supporting the Great Environment Transformation Portfolio. This strategic portfolio brings together activities across Imperial’s campuses to deliver coordinated physical and digital transformation that supports academic growth, enhances the campus experience and strengthens engagement through effective stakeholder collaboration and change leadership.
What you would be doing
As PMO Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of this portfolio. You will oversee and strengthen PMO practices, embedding consistent project management processes, governance frameworks and reporting standards across multiple programmes and workstreams.
Working closely with senior leaders, programme directors and project teams, you will help coordinate planning and prioritisation, monitor progress and risks, and provide clear reporting that supports effective decision-making. You will also support the alignment of resources, promote continuous improvement, and help ensure projects deliver their intended benefits.
Alongside transformation initiatives, the portfolio also supports projects that ensure the university’s estate and infrastructure continue to meet operational needs and sustainability ambitions, including supporting long-term capacity and carbon reduction goals.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with strong PMO or project governance experience, excellent organisational and analytical skills, and the confidence to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. A PRINCE2 and/or Agile qualification and experience working across complex project portfolios are essential.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a major strategic portfolio and help shape the future environment of a world-leading university
