At our University, HR Shared Services is responsible for services that contribute to a positive employee experience and supporting HR administrative processes throughout the employee life cycle. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrator to join our HR Employment Services team that sits within HR Shared Services, to play a vital role in supporting colleagues across the university.

In this role, you will provide a high-quality, professional administrative service across a range of HR workstreams, including Organisation Development, Occupational Health, Employee Relations, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and HR Finance. 

Acting as a key coordination point within the team, you’ll manage diaries, coordinate meetings and events, take minutes, maintain accurate records, and support financial processes. Your ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver an excellent service will be essential.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking a self-directed, motivated, and detail-oriented individual who:

  • Has strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Communicates clearly and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Delivers excellent customer service with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Has experience in administration, including coordinating meetings and activities
  • Has experience of financial administration processes such as invoicing and purchase orders
  • Demonstrates accuracy, attention to detail and sound judgement

You will need to have GCSEs in English and Math (C/4 or above) or equivalent.

This is a permanent, full-time post (36.25 hours per week), offered on a hybrid basis with a blended approach of home and office working. Typically, you will work 2 – 3 days per week on campus.
