An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Anatomy Section as the Lead Anatomy Demonstrator. You will join a vibrant and innovative team of academics, clinicians and support staff to deliver at under- and post-graduate level on courses including Medicine, Biomedical Science, Physicians Associate Studies and a wide range of healthcare related programmes. Practical activities take place in the Anatomy Suite with a focus on human resources including plastinated and potted specimens, plastic anatomical models and audio-visual equipment. Furthermore, we utilise digital resources, including Anatomage Tables and Complete Anatomy.
As the Lead Anatomy demonstrator you will lead a team of two permanent Anatomy Demonstrators and student demonstrators.You will be involved in the recruitment, training and support of student demonstrators and organise the demonstrator team, in addition to quality control of teaching within the Anatomy Suite.
To be successful in your application you will hold a degree in the relevant field and experience of anatomy demonstrating in a higher education setting and have experience of practical anatomy assessment, small group teaching and supervising undergraduate research projects is desirable.

Consider the following scenario: you are running a practical class in the Anatomy Suite and have a 10-minute ‘breakout session’ with a small group to describe and explain an anatomical topic, suitable for a first year medical student. You may utilise any teaching method you feel is appropriate.
