The University of Strathclyde provides a portfolio of online programmes, modules, activities and resources to support students studying both online and on campus. As part of ongoing work to support high-quality digital education, the University is seeking to appoint a Learning Designer (Generative AI) within the Online Learning Team in Education Enhancement.
This fixed-term role will support the design and development of staff and student learning resources relating to Generative AI in learning, teaching and assessment. The postholder will also contribute to wider online and blended course design and development activity, enabling more senior colleagues to focus on priority work in Generative AI and digital education.
Working closely with academic colleagues, professional services staff, learning technologists, media developers, students and other colleagues across the University, the postholder will help develop learning materials, online activities, staff development resources and reusable content for a range of staff and student audiences.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have significant relevant work experience. You will have experience of contributing to course design or development, developing learning activities and resources, and working collaboratively with academic or professional colleagues. You will have an awareness of learning and teaching principles, particularly in online or blended contexts, and a strong interest in the use of Generative AI in higher education.
