We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Surveyor / Clerk of Works to join our busy Projects team. The team is responsible for delivering capital and long-term maintenance works across both of our town centre campuses.
As a Building Surveyor / Clerk of Works, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Senior Project Manager to deliver quality construction works. You will be responsible for designing and managing small-scale projects, as well as providing a crucial quality assurance and compliance role on our bigger projects. This role offers an opportunity to support the University in ensuring high-quality builds are delivered in line with specifications and relevant regulations.
You will have a degree in Building Surveying or have equivalent experience, along with experience in preparing or reviewing technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation. You will also have experience in contract administration and overseeing quality management on-site.
We offer an excellent employment package, including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all. Find out more about our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, including our commitments and accreditations as a Disability Confident Leader, Stonewall Top 100 Employer, Athena Swan Silver Award holder and Race Equality Charter Bronze Award holder on our website.
Informal enquiries are welcome to Gemma Berry.
