About the role

As Executive Assistant to the Director, you will manage a busy and high-profile office, providing comprehensive executive support to an internationally recognised academic and clinical leader. Acting as the first point of contact for the Director's Office, you will be responsible for managing complex and competing priorities, coordinating communications with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth running of the Director's extensive programme of activities.

This is a varied and intellectually engaging position that requires excellent judgement, discretion and organisational skills. You will work closely with senior colleagues across UCL, the NHS, government bodies, research organisations, funding agencies and international collaborators. The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to strategic initiatives, high-profile meetings and events, and the delivery of the Institute's objectives.

About you

The Executive Assistant represents the Director and the University at all times. For this reason, it is important that the Executive Assistant develops an understanding of the Director’s vision, mission and goals and is aware of University and MRC policies.

In addition to coordinating the Director’s numerous activities, the Executive Assistant is expected to organize meetings and functions hosted by the Director.

Excellent communication and organisation skills are therefore essential for this role as well as the ability to work independently and proactively in high pressured environments.
