Manchester Metropolitan University – Information Systems & Digital Services

  • Are you passionate about customer service?
  • Do you thrive in a busy working environment, always looking for the next challenge?
  • Do you like variety in your work?

At Manchester Metropolitan University, we're looking for a committed, enthusiastic individual with solid technical and customer service skills to join our Hardware & Logistics team within the Directorate of IT & Digital.

About the Department
IT & Digital is central to delivering the University's core goals and the experience MMU offers to both professional colleagues and students. We are committed to developing and maintaining flexible, serviceable, and scalable services that reflect the changing needs of our growing University.

About the Team
Working within Hardware & Logistics, you will be the face of IT & Digital at the University. Our Face-to-Face service is often a new staff member's first interaction with IT, and the value of a good first impression cannot be understated. Hardware & Logistics also deliver change projects across the University, including office moves, commissioning new IT labs, and upgrading existing IT within teaching spaces. We are also an integral part of capital (new-build) projects and other major University projects.

This is a fast-paced, supportive environment where you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference to the daily teaching and learning experience of our staff and students. If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for learning about new technologies, and a dedication to first-class customer service, we look forward to hearing from you.

Please note this role is fully on-site and is not a hybrid post.

Application & Assessment

Refer to the Job Description and Candidate Pack (available on the university's website, accessed by the 'Apply' button) for a full list of requirements and benefits.

  • Please submit your CV and covering letter, specifically outlining how you meet the role requirements via our online portal.
  • Interviews are currently scheduled for Friday, 24 July.
  • For an informal conversation about the role, please contact Cara Cartwright on c.cartwright@mmu.ac.uk.
