The University of Cambridge is seeking an outstanding finance leader to play a pivotal role in its Finance Transformation Programme. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of financial planning, management reporting and business partnering at one of the world's leading universities, helping to improve decision-making and support long-term financial sustainability.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead the University's Business Partnering and Financial Planning and Analysis functions, managing a team of eight and providing leadership across a wider finance community of around 50 colleagues. You will work closely with senior academic and professional services leaders to strengthen financial planning, performance management and investment decision-making across the institution.
Key responsibilities include:
You will have substantial experience leading FPA, management reporting or finance business partnering teams within a large, complex organisation, together with a proven track record of delivering transformation and change.
You will be an influential leader with excellent communication skills, strong financial and commercial acumen, outstanding analytical capability and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. Experience of Oracle Fusion, EPM and the higher education or public sector environments would be advantageous.
