The University of Lincoln’s School of Health and Care Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Science to join our growing Allied Health Professions portfolio.

The School delivers a wide range of professionally aligned programmes across health and social care, including nursing, social work, paramedic science, diagnostic radiography, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy. Our programmes are developed in close partnership with regional health and care providers and are aligned to workforce priorities.

Paramedic Science is an established and expanding part of the School’s portfolio. The BSc Paramedic Science programme is delivered in partnership with East Midlands Ambulance Service and other clinical providers and combines academic study with extensive practice-based learning. The School has also introduced a BSc Paramedic Science Degree Apprenticeship route, and continued growth across both pathways has created the need for an additional academic post.

The Role

As Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Science, you will contribute to the delivery, assessment and ongoing development of the BSc Paramedic Science programme and the degree apprenticeship route.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching and assessment across modules within the Paramedic Science curriculum
  • Supporting students through academic tutoring and supervision
  • Contributing to curriculum development and programme enhancement
  • Working collaboratively with clinical partners to support high-quality practice-based learning
  • Supporting delivery across both undergraduate and apprenticeship pathways
  • Contributing to interprofessional learning across the School’s Allied Health Professions portfolio

You will join a supportive and collaborative academic team at an exciting stage of programme growth and development.

About You

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated paramedic professional with a passion for education and workforce development.

You will be a qualified Paramedic with current or eligible registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience of teaching in higher education or supporting student learning in practice is desirable, and applicants should demonstrate a commitment to developing their academic practice and contributing to a scholarly teaching environment.

For Senior Lecturer appointment, candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in higher education teaching and/or a developing research or scholarly profile.

What We Offer
  • 35 days annual leave plus bank holidays and university closure days
