About the role
The Humanities Division at Oxford is looking to appoint an organised, proactive and positive Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (KE) Administrator to join our friendly and growing Impact Team.
The role is busy and varied which involves a number of different strands. Working to the Head of Innovation, Impact and Engagement, the postholder will monitor outcomes from the Humanities Division’s innovation, impact and KE portfolio, including tracking project outcomes, return on investment and relevant data to support the Division’s annual reporting requirements. Additional duties of the post include developing an innovation and impact funding bulletin, organising KE-related events, and providing administrative support to the Impact Team, including taking meeting minutes and some diary and organisational support.
Led by the Head of Innovation, Impact and Engagement, the Impact Team helps humanities research to make a difference in the world. Our team supports activities related to innovation and commercialisation, impact (including for the Research Excellence Framework), and partnerships with the cultural and creative industries, heritage organisations, public policymakers, theatre and performance organisations, business and communities. We work closely with a wide range of stakeholders across the University, including academic and professional services colleagues in the Division’s nine faculties and the Ruskin School of Art, The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities, the Humanities Division’s Research Facilitation team and the Schwarzman Centre’s Cultural Programme, as well as teams working in related areas in other divisions and in central Research Services.
About you
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior experience of providing high-quality, detail-oriented administrative support in a complex, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will support a number of different projects and activities simultaneously, so good time management, flexibility and a solution-focused outlook will be critical. The postholder will be a key point of contact for the Impact Team, so discretion, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively also are essential.
You will have highly-developed digital skills and an ability to use a broad range of systems and platforms to identify funding opportunities, track outcomes, manage reporting processes and support improved communications. Excellent numerical and data management skills are required, including the ability to collate data and information from a variety of sources quickly and accurately, and the ability to understand, analyze, and present data to others. Experience of committee servicing and event coordination in a professional context for a range of event types and sizes also is essential.
