We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Research Fellow to play a pivotal role in undertaking an observational clinical cohort study at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will be based in the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health research in the Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford. You will work closely with local project partners at Oxford Vaccine Group, Department of Paediatrics, and in the Modernising Medical Microbiology research group, Nuffield Department of Medicine.
You will be working in a high-calibre research environment, and will have the opportunity to apply for a higher degree. You will receive high quality research training in applied science, tailored for a talented clinician who aspires to a career in academic medicine. You will work with project managers, post-doctoral scientists, study statisticians, nurses, IT, data mangers and other Clinical Research Fellows and will be involved in development of study protocols and essential documents needed in the preparation and submission of ethics and grant applications and study delivery.
It is essential that you hold a medical degree and are GMC registered. You must be currently qualified and licenced to practice medicine in the UK. You must have experience in working for the NHS as a doctor (having completed at least both NHS foundation training years). It is also essential that you have a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
