The role
This Research Support Assistant role will join an MRC-funded translational neuroscience project, helping to run and analyse experiments based on electrophysiological recordings of brain activity and psychopharmacology in preclinical models.
This fixed-term post will provide maternity cover, but affords an exciting opportunity to experience a range of laboratory techniques and to work with a collaborative team spanning Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter universities.
What will you be doing?
Your primary role will be to support an established series of preclinical electrophysiology experiments, recording and analysing brain activity to help understand mechanisms of psychiatric disorders. You will also support the team by helping to manage laboratory supplies and maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
You should apply if
You have direct experience of in vivo electrophysiology and hold a current Home Office PIL. You should also have experience of analysing neural data, including scoring of sleep based on EEG.
