Directed by Professor Cath Mummery, the UK Dementia Trials Network (UK DTN) is a national initiative aiming to accelerate the set-up and delivery of early-phase clinical trials in dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases, strengthening the UK’s capacity to deliver high-quality, timely clinical research in this area.
The UKDTN Coordinating Centre, based at UCL and UCLH, is responsible for the strategic setup, coordination and delivery of the programme, including the implementation of the UK-wide network. The team brings together expertise in trial operations, finance, contracts, communications and external engagement to support the successful delivery and growth of the UKDTN.
We are recruiting a Centre Administrative Assistant to join the team and work closely with the administrative team to support the smooth day-to-day running of the UKDTN Coordinating Centre.
You will be a key point of contact for the Centre, providing proactive and flexible administrative support across a wide range of activities, including meetings and events, research and publication records, HR administration, and support for the wider UKDTN network.
This is a role with evolving priorities, requiring close collaboration with colleagues across the UKDTN Coordinating Centre and wider national network. Although based at UCL in London, the role has a national remit and involves regular liaison with academic, clinical, and external partners across the UK, including NIHR Biomedical Research Centres and Clinical Research Facilities.
The role is available immediately and funded by National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) for one year in the first instance with the possibility of further extension.
This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 50% of time on site.
If you need reasonable adjustments or a more accessible format to apply for this job online, or have any queries regarding the application process, please contact the Institute of Neurology HR Team (ion.hradmin@ucl.ac.uk).

Application deadline: 23:59, Thursday, 30 July 2026.

You will have a good standard of general education to A Level/NVQ Level 4 in administration (or equivalent experience) and proven experience in an administrative support role, ideally within Higher Education.
Experience of managing meetings and events, including agenda preparation and minute-taking, are required for the role, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
