Liverpool John Moores University is seeking an ambitious, innovative and student-centred leader to join the Faculty of Health, Innovation, Technology and Science (HITS) as our Student Experience and Services Manager. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating outstanding student experiences, improving student outcomes and leading high-performing professional services teams that make a tangible difference to students' lives.

Working at the heart of one of the University’s diverse faculties, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of student support, engagement and administration across an exciting portfolio of disciplines spanning health, science, technology and innovation.

You will be a key member of the Faculty Professional Services leadership team, helping to deliver the University's ambitions around student success, belonging, retention, continuation, employability and graduate outcomes.

The student journey is becoming increasingly complex. Students rightly expect services that are accessible, responsive, personalised and effective and we want every student to feel supported, connected and empowered to achieve their potential.

As Student Experience and Services Manager, you will lead the teams, systems and services that underpin that ambition. You will bring together programme administration, student-facing services and student success activity to create a seamless and outstanding experience from enrolment through to graduation. You will be expected to challenge established thinking, drive innovation and use evidence to improve both student outcomes and operational performance.

The Faculty of Health, Innovation, Technology and Science educates thousands of students across a broad portfolio of professional and academic disciplines. Our graduates go on to become healthcare professionals, scientists, technologists, researchers and innovators who make significant contributions to society. Supporting that ambition requires outstanding professional services. We are committed to continuous improvement, collaborative working and developing modern services that meet the evolving expectations of students and staff alike.

Reporting to the Faculty Pro Vice Chancellor’s office, via the Business Manager you will:

•Provide strategic and operational leadership for a major portfolio of student-facing services.

•Lead and inspire a diverse team responsible for delivering excellent programme administration, student engagement activity and operational support services.

•Work closely with School Directors, academic colleagues, Student Success teams and central professional services to ensure students receive a high-quality, consistent and supportive experience throughout their studies.

•Be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance service delivery, improve student engagement and support faculty performance against key institutional measures.

Success in this role will require strong leadership, emotional intelligence, organisational awareness and a commitment to collaboration.

We are seeking a confident and credible leader who can combine strategic thinking with excellent operational delivery, who is excited by the opportunity to influence change, improve outcomes and build strong teams.

If you are passionate about delivering exceptional services, improving student outcomes and leading teams through positive change, we would love to hear from you.
