About The College of Health Sciences

The College of Health Sciences (CHS) is a leader in health sciences research, pioneering work in immunology, regenerative medicine, precision medicine, population health, systems science, and health technology. Through its partnership with Vinmec, Vietnam's premier private healthcare system, CHS integrates education, research, and clinical practice via joint research centers and real-world clinical data. The Role

This is a full-time, research-focused position within the College of Health Sciences, offering the opportunity to work with research centers in the Innovation in Health Sciences Research cluster. The research focuses on healthy living across the lifespan, addressing global health challenges including aging, mental health, cancer, cardiovascular disease, women's and child health, nutrition, environmental health, and antimicrobial resistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high-impact research with strong translational outcomes, publishing in top-tier journals and securing competitive external funding
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and active engagement in academic events
  • Contribute to innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer, including commercialization
  • Develop, plan, and deliver high-quality, accredited curricula at undergraduate and/or graduate level
  • Supervise research students and projects, and mentor junior faculty
  • Contribute to university service, including committee work, faculty recruitment, accreditation, and program development
  • Support initiatives aligned with VinUni's Vision 2030

Candidate Profile

  • PhD (or equivalent terminal degree) from a prestigious university in epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, implementation science, health economics, or policy management
  • Demonstrated teaching ability and commitment to student-centered, active learning
  • Evidence of scholarly achievement or strong potential, through publications, international conference engagement, or research collaborations
  • Commitment to developing an independent, externally funded research program
  • Experience in multinational, multicultural, or start-up environments highly valued

Requirements by rank:

  • Assistant Professor — postdoctoral or equivalent experience preferred; demonstrated potential for independent research and effective teaching; international research engagement an advantage
  • Associate Professor — extensive, recognized teaching excellence; sustained publication record; success securing research funding as Principal Investigator for 5+ years; active participation in professional societies
  • Professor — internationally recognized research leadership; sustained record of high-impact, funded research for 10+ years; keynote presentations or awards for research excellence; distinguished teaching and mentorship
