About the role
Leicester is a leading University committed to international excellence, world-changing research and high quality, inspirational teaching. We change lives through the education we offer and the research we undertake. As an HR division, we play a vital role in helping to value, nurture and celebrate our people to ensure we are all Citizens of Change.
Working on a hybrid basis with a minimum of three days a week on campus, you will play a key role in the delivery and success of the HR People Strategy 5-year delivery plan. This delivery plan underpins the University’s three strategic themes of Research-inspired Education, World-changing Research and Our Citizens as well as the annual planning process. You will advise, coach, influence and challenge senior stakeholders on significant HR issues and proactively influence a climate of change and alignment of schools/departments to the University’s strategic aims.
Supported by a team of Senior HR Advisers, you will also be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive and effective HR service to Professional Services Divisions and for the provision of high quality, business focused and strategic level advice. This will include providing extensive guidance and support to the Heads of Divisions and their senior management team.
About you
You will be a Chartered Member of the CIPD, educated to degree level (or equivalent) and demonstrate substantial experience of managing and implementing significant change projects and transformative processes. You will have experience of leading strategic and operational HR matters in a unionised environment within a large complex organisation.
