Project Administrator
This part-time (0.5 FTE) post is available from 01/10/2026 until 04/10/2027 on a fixed-term, maternity cover basis. Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager.

Salary will be £30,628 per annum pro rata on Grade D subject to knowledge, skills and experience.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

This role will be part of a team of pooled research and innovation project delivery experts supporting a portfolio of live projects at different stages of development.

You will be responsible for supporting project management teams and ensuring the smooth running of the projects. Amongst your responsibilities, you will be the first point of contact for enquiries, as well as being responsible for organising meetings (in person & hybrid), producing agendas and taking minutes, assisting with event organisation, setting up purchase orders and processing invoices. You will support a diverse range of tasks and, as such, you must be able to plan and prioritise a varied workload. You will also be required to work independently and be pro-active and flexible. It is essential that you are able to demonstrate good communication skills.

About The Division

Research Division
The Research Division is a key enabler to the delivery of the University's Strategy 2030, the Research and Impact Strategy, successful REF performances, and generating external research income, by:

• Supporting the full research project lifecycle from inception to impact.
• Offering research infrastructure support.
• Providing leadership for the Exeter Doctoral College.
• Delivering joint strategic, policy and planning support to the University and Faculties.

The division consists of four service groups: Doctoral College; Research Services; Research Software and Analytics; and Technical Strategy and Operations.

The Research Services Group provides a range of services: research strategy development and delivery through the Research Strategy team and our University Research Institute teams; faculty relationship management through our Faculty Partners; research development & management support and financial management through our Research Funder Clusters; Research and Impact performance and REF planning; Finance, systems and data support; Research ethics, governance and compliance.
