With over 2,000 students and 65 academic staff, the Department of Operations, Technology, Events and Hospitality Management is an ambitious, diverse, and industry engaged department within the Faculty of Business and Law.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding academic to join our Hospitality and Tourism team to support the delivery and continued development of our new BSc International Hospitality and Tourism Business Management programme. This innovative programme combines international hospitality, tourism, business management, digital innovation, sustainability, and work integrated learning to prepare graduates for leadership careers within the global visitor economy.

Role
This is a permanent, full-time position (37 hours per week).

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, research-informed teaching, curriculum development, student support, and scholarly activity across our undergraduate provision. They will bring an in-depth understanding of contemporary hospitality and tourism business practice and the ability to translate professional and academic experience into engaging, practice-based learning.

We are seeking an individual with academic and industry experience within hospitality, tourism, or the wider visitor economy, who can contribute to the continued development of our BSc International Hospitality and Tourism Business Management programme. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in one or more areas including hospitality and tourism sales and marketing, digital innovation and emerging technologies, commercial awareness and revenue management, customer experience, people and talent management, operations, strategic leadership, data informed decision making, business analytics, sustainability, and responsible business practice. They will contribute to an inclusive, innovative, and industry engaged learning environment that prepares students for successful careers in the global hospitality and tourism sector.

Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree and a postgraduate qualification at Master's level, or equivalent professional qualification and experience, alongside relevant hospitality and/or tourism industry experience.
