Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology

The School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences offers high-quality teaching, research and CPD across a range of disciplines. Our portfolio includes a recently GPhC-reaccredited Master of Pharmacy (MPharm), alongside BSc programmes in Biomedical Science, Biological Sciences, Forensic Science, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Science, and MSc programmes in Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology and Biomedical Science.

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology to contribute to teaching across the School and support the continued development of our academic portfolio. The successful candidate will have subject expertise and relevant higher education experience, with the ability to deliver pharmacology teaching, primarily on our BSc Pharmacology and MPharm programmes.

You will hold a degree in a relevant discipline and either a doctoral qualification in a related field or equivalent professional experience. You will contribute to the design and delivery of innovative teaching and learning, drawing on your research and/or higher education experience. The role will include supporting the development and delivery of our newly validated BSc Pharmacology programme.

We welcome applicants whose research complements existing activity within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. You will have a developing research profile, including outputs with REF potential, and some experience of securing external research funding.

You will hold a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. FHEA or PGCertHE) or be willing to work towards one.
