The Opportunity:

Where passion meets purpose. Be part of something bigger.

Join Childlight, a global data institute in the University of Edinburgh, and you’ll be making a meaningful difference.  You’ll do meaningful work, grow, be rewarded and recognised, and benefit from our strong commitment to your wellbeing. There are so many reasons to join us.

The University of Edinburgh is a world-class organisation. We look for the best in the field across all disciplines and provide a working environment where academics can develop their careers and passion for their chosen subject area.

As an Epidemiologist (Hidden Populations) you will advance Childlight – the global child safety institute’s methodological work to improve the inclusion and visibility of children living with disabilities and other hidden or underrepresented populations within CSEA data systems. Working across Childlight’s datasets, you will develop proof-of-concept indicators on visibility and data coverage, support improved disaggregation and statistical analysis, and review and produce methodological guidance to strengthen both secondary data analysis and primary data collection globally.

People have always been at the heart of our work. We are looking for people with drive, determination, and a passion for what they do. We are a place where everyone is welcome and offer a range of policies and benefits designed to support you in building the right meaningful flexibility for you.

A career with us has a range of other benefits that can be tailored to your lifestyle:

  • Responsibility and autonomy
  • Professional development and subject matter expertise
  • Leading-edge research
  • Variety every day

This post is full-time (35 hours per week). We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
