Are you an experienced management accountant who enjoys turning financial data into meaningful insight?
Do you thrive on partnering with colleagues, influencing strategic decision-making and helping organisations achieve their ambitions?
Would you like to do all of this whilst supporting one of Britain's leading performing arts training institutions?
As our Management Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in helping shape the financial future of Italia Conti.
Working closely with our Director of Finance, Senior Leadership Team and budget holders across the institution, you'll produce accurate and insightful management information that supports strategic decision-making and ensures the long-term financial sustainability of the organisation. You'll lead on the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis, whilst helping colleagues understand the story behind the numbers.
This is a varied and influential role combining technical accounting expertise with genuine business partnering. You'll develop financial models, support strategic projects, prepare reports for senior leaders and governors, and help ensure Italia Conti continues to meet the expectations of an Office for Students-registered higher education provider. You'll also contribute to the continual development of our financial systems, reporting and processes, ensuring Finance continues to provide an outstanding service across the organisation.
We're looking for someone who is professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA), part-qualified, or able to demonstrate significant management accounting experience gained in a similar role. You'll have excellent analytical skills, strong commercial awareness and enjoy presenting financial information in a way that is clear, engaging and meaningful to colleagues from a wide range of professional backgrounds.
The post has line management responsibility for two staff within our small Finance team, so you'll be confident building positive working relationships, comfortable managing competing priorities, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, professionalism and integrity. Advanced Excel skills are essential, whilst experience of Sage 200 and the education, charity or higher education sectors would be advantageous.
If you're looking for an opportunity where your expertise will genuinely influence organisational decision-making, and where you'll become part of a collaborative, ambitious and supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
