Applications are invited for an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer in Primary care and Vascular Disease.

The Academic Clinical Lecturer will work with research, education and clinical scholarship colleagues from within the Academic Vascular Surgery Unit , together with regional NHS and public partners and wider national and international networks to deliver innovative scholarship driving excellence in primary care research.
The post offers an exciting opportunity for an academic clinician to both develop their own leadership and academic experience as well as contribute to making a difference within primary care.
One post is available. The salary will depend on qualifications and experience. Satisfactory enhanced disclosure will be obtained from the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Postgraduate Dean confirms that this placement/programme has the required educational and Dean's approval. The contract will be with the University of Hull.
This post is equally open to those who may, either from the outset or subsequently, wish to work less than full-time if eligible, or job share.
All applicants will need to hold full GMC registration with a licence to practise at the time of appointment and be eligible to practice as a General Practitioner.
Doctors appointed as an NIHR CL must already hold a higher research degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) and have completed their clinical training (MRCGP or equivalent). Candidates may only apply if they have already submitted their PhD or MD thesis at the time of application.
**Due to the nature of this role, an Enhanced DBS and Barring list check will be undertaken for the successful candidate.
