The Role

Housing Advisor (part-time) - 21 hours per week over 3 days.

Apply for the role of Housing Advisor at the University of London and help support students and staff living in the private rented sector.

We are seeking an individual to provide legal advice, advocacy and guidance to students and staff who are looking for and living in private rented housing. 

To succeed in this role, you will have relevant experience of working with people in an advisory capacity and an up-to-date knowledge of housing legislation and case law relating to private rented housing. An understanding of the main housing issues that students face in the private rented housing sector is essential. 

You will have an enthusiastic and innovative approach, combined with tact, discretion and the ability to deal professionally and empathetically with a range of student clients, landlords and others in an often pressured working environment.

We welcome applications both from candidates with Higher Education housing experience and those  with alternative sector experience but who can demonstrate a willingness to learn combined with a passion for providing excellent support services to customers.

The University currently operates a Hybrid Working framework involving a mix of working remotely and in the office. For this role you will be required to be in the office 2 days a week and 1 day working from home. You will be required to attend on specific days for training or team meetings
