Lecturer in Ecology (0.5FTE) (ATS1374)

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer to join the School of Biological Sciences to deliver lectures and seminars and carry out teaching-related duties.  

Teaching is a key part of this role and as such you will be expected to plan, teach and assess undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, taking responsibility for the delivery and assessment of specific modules. This will include organising modules and developing teaching and learning materials. You will also take responsibility for some of the degree programmes within the school, supervise dissertations at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and promote enterprise and engagement at UEA. 

A first degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area with experience of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and student assessment at all levels including coursework, examinations and undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations is essential. Supervision experience at postgraduate level and experience in relevant enterprise and engagement activities would be advantageous.

This part-time (0.5 FTE) post is available from 1^st December 2026 on a fixed term basis until 31^st August 2029.
