The Department of Marketing, International Business and Tourism is seeking to appoint 3 part-time Tutors commencing in September 2026 or as soon as possible after that. Tutors will support teaching delivery across our undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio, contributing and delivering seminars, workshops, assessment support, marking and student engagement activities. They will also support the programme leaders and the Senior Leadership Team to deliver and educational and pedagogical strategy of the department. We welcome applications from candidates with experience in:

The role offers valuable professional development within a supportive academic environment. Working experience in student-facing roles in Higher or Further Education is essential. Experience in marking work for Higher Education institutions is desirable.

Candidates with experience in providing pastoral care, support with the development of academic and professional skills, and experience in personal tutoring will be given priority.

To apply, please submit a short statement (maximum 300 words) outlining your interest in the role, your specific area of expertise, and relevant experience, together with an up‑to‑date CV, via our recruitment portal. For informal enquiries, please contact Dr Costas Theodoridis, Deputy Head of Department (c.theodoridis@mmu.ac.uk).

If you are currently on a visa that permits you to work in the UK (for example, a Graduate visa), you are welcome to apply. However, where continued employment is dependent on obtaining a further visa, you will be responsible for ensuring you meet the relevant immigration requirements. If you are unable to secure the necessary right to work at the end of your current visa, employment may be unable to continue.
