Just under £50 million was awarded by NIHR to UCLH BRC to fund the UK Dementia Trials Network (UK DTN).

We are looking for a Senior Trials Manager to work closely with the UKDTN Leadership and Coordinating Centre team to deliver a portfolio of early-stage dementia clinical trials across UCLH and other UKDTN sites as required. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of the trials from trial set up (costings, contracts, research governance) to implementation (recruitment, screening, oversight of trial coordination and cost recovery).The post is available immediately and funded by the NIHR until 31 December 2028, with expectation of extension.

This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 50% of time on site.

About you

You will have an Honours degree (minimum 2:1) in a science/healthcare related discipline (or equivalent experience), with a comprehensive knowledge of UK Clinical Trials Regulations, ICH Good Clinical Practice, the European Directives on Clinical Trials and Good Clinical Practice and the Department of Heath’s Research Governance Framework. Significant experience of regulatory trials in a university hospital setting and of maintaining, collating and manipulating complex data is essential, as is evidence of developing systems for monitoring performance relating to research studies or programmes. Experience of line management and of managing budgets are also a requirement, along with a proven ability to work seamlessly across academic and NHS organisational cultures and processes. A postgraduate qualification in a science/healthcare discipline and experience of Trial Monitoring is desirable.

This role meets the eligibility requirements for a skilled worker certificate of sponsorship or a global talent visa under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL welcomes applications from international applicants who require a visa.
