Hours: Part Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Placed On: 28th July 2026

Queen Mary Students' Union represents and supports over 30,000 students and 4,500 staff at Queen Mary University of London. Our services and programmes help create an inclusive and vibrant student experience, with sport and physical activity playing a vital role in promoting wellbeing, engagement, and community impact.

We are looking for an experienced sport professional to coordinate our Performance Sport programmes and act as a Dual Career Coordinator (DCC) within the TASS network. This part-time post (0.6 FTE / 21 hours per week) covers two flagship programmes: the Talented Athlete Programme (TAP), which supports elite student-athletes with a comprehensive package including strength and conditioning, sports therapy, academic flexibility, and dual career support; and the Focus Team Programme, which supports six high-performance clubs with clear BUCS competitive ambitions.

You will act as the primary point of contact for athletes and coaches across both programmes, building strong relationships with university partners, NGBs, and external providers. As a DCC, you will provide structured 1-to-1 support to TAP athletes to help them balance elite sport with full-time study, working within the TASS framework. There is also the opportunity to undertake additional paid strength and conditioning delivery hours during term time.

You will need experience working within a performance or elite sport environment, with proven ability to provide 1-to-1 athlete support and a strong understanding of dual career principles. A recognised S&C or coaching qualification is desirable. Strong organisational and relationship management skills and a genuine commitment to student-athlete welfare are essential, alongside experience of working in higher education or a student-led environment.

Benefits include 30 days annual leave pro rata, defined benefits pension scheme, interest-free season ticket loan, and Sport and Fitness Centre membership.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
