Research Assistant

We will be looking for a researcher assistant who will support a post-doctoral research fellow and the wider research team, to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis on targeted interventions that can raise non-academic outcomes for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This project is funded by the Nuffield Foundation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for searching of the literature, the selection of studies to be included/ excluded following detailed criteria and data extraction as well as the updating of the MetaSENse database as well as write up a project report and academic papers.

Please note the appointment is from 1st Oct 2026 to 31st March 2028 in the first instance.

You will have a postgraduate qualification (Master’s degree, completed or near completion) in Education or Psychology, practical experience of systematic reviews and meta-analysis and relevant understanding of special educational needs.
