Applications are invited for a Researcher Assistant, to work with a team working with Dr Tori Ford on a research programme on ‘Managing Microbiomes: Understanding the use of at-home test kits for vaginal infections’. 

The successful applicant will recruit participants, collect data through interviews and/or focus groups, analyse qualitative data, present results at meetings and conferences and write papers for publication. Responsibilities will include managing research activities, contributing to project planning, execution, and dissemination. 

You will hold a first degree, together with some relevant experience related to primary care, sexual health, microbiology, or social sciences and be working toward a doctorate in a specialist discipline. You will also possess sufficient specialist knowledge of sexual health, diagnostics, and vulvovaginal health to work within established research programmes and have experience of following and adapting qualitative and quantitative methodologies. 

You will be based in the Gibson Building, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG as your normal place of work, but you will be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager. 

The position is offered part-time (0.35FTE) and is fixed-term for six months or until 31 May 2027, whichever is earliest.
