About the role
The Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial invites applications by highly talented researchers for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in General Framework for Nonequilibrium Processes: From Theory to Applications as part of the ERC Frontier Research Advanced Grant “Machine-Aided General Framework for Fluctuating Dynamic Density Functional Theory (MAGFFDDFT)”. You will lead the overarching phase of this cutting-edge project, that transitions its computational-theoretical developments into targeted practical applications.
What you would be doing
The overarching objective of the MAGFFDDFT project is to develop a machine-learning-aided framework that establishes low-dimensional laws governing the dynamics of observables. You will apply this framework to analyse classical fluids, and complex multiscale systems in general, far from equilibrium.
Specifically, you will lead the project's third core theme: applying our newly developed theory and machine learning (ML) methodologies to challenging, targeted applications.
