About the role
We are seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in Management Learning and Education within the School of Management. This is a strategic academic leadership role focused on enhancing management learning and education across undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral provision. You will lead educational enhancement initiatives that improve student experience, curriculum quality, pedagogic innovation, scholarship and educational outcomes, while supporting cross-mode and cross-level curriculum transformation, assessment and feedback innovation, digital and AI-enhanced pedagogies, student engagement and academic development.
Working closely with colleagues across the School, College and wider University, you will provide leadership for School-wide educational enhancement activity, curriculum review and student experience projects. You will contribute to programme and module leadership, support the development of new curriculum initiatives, mentor colleagues in educational innovation and represent the School within institutional and external educational communities.
About you
You will have a PhD, or equivalent professional standing, in a relevant discipline, alongside a recognised profile in management and business education. You will bring significant experience of successful undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum design and assessment, together with evidence of leading educational innovation and enhancement initiatives with demonstrable impact. You will also have substantial academic leadership experience, including programme leadership, educational leadership or equivalent roles, and a strong record of mentoring and supporting academic colleagues.
We are looking for an excellent communicator and relationship-builder who can provide strategic educational leadership across a complex academic portfolio. You will be confident using evidence and data to inform enhancement activity and decision-making, and able to influence, motivate and support colleagues in delivering educational change. You will have active leadership within learned societies, professional bodies or educational networks, and the ability to represent the School credibly within national and international educational communities.
