Salary from £43,277 to £51,714 per annum inclusive with potential to progress to £55,497 pa inclusive of London allowance

Residential Life plays a key role in supporting student wellbeing, fostering inclusive communities and creating a safe, positive living environment across LSE halls. The Residential Life Night Manager is a key operational role responsible for delivering LSE's overnight student support service across a diverse residential portfolio.

You will provide professional overnight leadership, responding to student wellbeing concerns, safeguarding matters, incidents and emergencies while working closely with Security, Accommodation teams and specialist support services. You will help ensure students feel safe, supported and connected to the School outside normal working hours.

Candidates should have experience supporting students, young people or vulnerable adults and demonstrate the ability to manage complex situations calmly and effectively. They should have experience of welfare support, safeguarding or incident management, alongside excellent communication skills and the ability to exercise sound professional judgement in a fast-paced environment.

This role operates on a shift pattern of 18:00–06:00, three shifts on and four shifts off.

Due to the nature of this role, which requires regular travel between multiple LSE residences during evening and overnight hours, the successful candidate must hold a full, valid UK driving licence. A dedicated LSE vehicle will be provided for business use to enable travel between sites.

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, excellent training and development opportunities and the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the student experience at one of the world's leading social science institutions.
