The School
Law is a vibrant and rapidly developing part of York Business School. Our Law provision includes a growing LLB programme, launched in 2018, alongside several postgraduate programmes which continue to expand our academic portfolio and research culture. Across all our provision, we emphasise personal and skills development, employability, and placing law in context to strengthen analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced candidate to join us as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Law. You will contribute to delivering high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supporting students in both the academic and applied dimensions of legal study, and helping to enhance the overall student experience through engaging and inclusive teaching.
Required Skills and Experience
The successful candidate must be able to contribute to across our undergraduate and postgraduate provisions. The candidate should have a PhD degree in Law and a demonstrable teaching and research experience commensurate with lecturer or senior lecturer level, along with a strong commitment to supporting student learning, employability, and professional development. For lecturer post, the candidate should ideally have teaching accreditation from the Higher Education Academy at Fellow or Associate Fellow level or be working towards this. For Senior Lecturer level you will need substantial teaching experience and be a Fellow of Higher Education Academy.
