About the role
Are you an organised, proactive individual with administrative experience and a passion for delivering excellent customer service? We are looking for an administrative assistant to join our team and contribute to our work supporting disabled students at Imperial.
What you would be doing
- You will be the main point of contact for walk-ins to the Disability Advisory Service, finding out what they need and then triaging or signposting to relevant services.
- Responsible for answering calls and managing the service’s inbox.
- In charge of email campaigns to students registered with the service, editing content, and and coordinating the timely distribution of communications.
- You will update finance spreadsheets with invoice and payment details.
- You will get involved in the logistics of student support setup; this could include ordering specialised equipment or setting up taxi accounts for students.
- Complete data quality checks when students register with the service.
- Prepare event materials, ensuring all leaflets and merchandise are printed, organised, and ready for use.
What we are looking for
- Educated to A-Levels, BTECs or equivalent.
- Administrative experience, ideally in a higher education environment.
- Customer service skills developed through experience in a customer-facing role.
- Ability to produce quality work with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience of dealing successfully with client enquiries, face-to-face, over telephone and by email.
- A high degree of tact and diplomacy, and, on occasion, managing challenging conversations with students.
