- THE ROLE -

This position will support the technical workstream of a funded mixed-methods feasibility study developing an autism-adapted digital self-management intervention for headache. The role will contribute to the development of a scalable digital health platform.

The post holder will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Health Research Associate, PPI steering group and technical collaborators to design, build, test and document a secure web-based or app-based system for collecting self-reported headache, symptom, treatment, sensory and contextual data from study participants. They will translate co-design findings into software requirements, support usability testing and iterative refinement, and implement appropriate data management, accessibility and security processes. The post holder will also develop exploratory data analytics and AI-informed approaches to identify patterns and potential predictors of headache or migraine episodes.

- ABOUT YOU -

- A PhD (awarded or near completion with thesis submitted) in a relevant discipline, for example Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Health Informatics, Digital Health or a related field
- Experience of programming or software development using relevant languages, frameworks or tools, for example Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, Node.js, SQL or equivalent
- Experience of requirements gathering, system design, testing, documentation and/or iterative software development
