We are seeking an IT professional with good hardware and software knowledge and a strong customer-focused approach to provide technology support in our new Medical School.
The new Medical School is equipped with high-tech classrooms, specialist technologies and immersive environments, making this an excellent opportunity to develop your career in Technology. Working closely with the Medical School team, the role will provide day-to-day IT support to staff and students and act as a local IT helpdesk. You will support our teaching spaces and teaching activities, the simulation environments, AV equipment, desktop devices, software, and learning technologies. This includes helping academic staff to produce learning support materials.
This role would suit someone with technological curiosity and a practical approach to problem solving. You will have experience of supporting users in a busy IT environment and a good working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, hardware, peripherals, AV equipment, Wi-Fi, authentication and user access. You will also be keen to develop proficiency in the specialist systems and learning tools used by the Medical School, maintain clear support notes and guidance, and work collaboratively with colleagues, central IT and suppliers to deliver a reliable, professional and responsive service.
Although located at the Medical School you will be part of central IT service team and will be working and be supported by other IT professionals to deliver a first class service to users.
Interviews are expected to take place the week commencing 14th September.
