The Department of Geography wishes to appoint a fixed-term Teaching Associate in More Than Human Geographies starting from the 15th September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. 

The main responsibilities of the role will be to plan, prepare and deliver a third year undergraduate course on 'More Than Human Geographies'. The successful candidate will also contribute to relevant small group teaching, day fieldtrip(s), examination and assessment of this course. 

A secondary responsibility will be to contribute to the MPhil in Anthropocene Studies, through a small number of lectures, dissertation supervision and assessment, and assistance to the Director.

The post holder may be asked to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate research methods training, and outreach and widening participation events within the Department, as appropriate to their overall teaching load.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Geography or a cognate subject, and possess evidence of relevant teaching experience in related fields. They will demonstrate close familiarity with the relevant fields through high-quality research publications.
