Department

The Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD), an academic research department at the University of York, is recruiting an Evidence Synthesis Knowledge Exchange Content Manager.

In this pivotal new role, as part of the department’s Communication and Impact Group and under the direction of the group Chair and Departmental Management Team, you will lead and coordinate our website and social media activities. You will turn complex evidence into accessible, impactful digital content to be shared across multiple channels, tailored for different audiences, and ensure appropriate governance and quality (including accessibility). • Knowledge and understanding of evidence synthesis including broad understanding of the methodology and how it is used to inform health and care decision-making
  • Strong knowledge of digital technologies, social media and their application in communicating evidence for research
  • Demonstrable experience at a strategic level of managing website and social media activities for a complex organisation or department, and in structuring and delivering engaging digital content
  • Knowledge of social media monitoring platforms for managing social media activity and delivering insights for evaluation
  • Demonstrable experience of rapidly understanding and responding to individual project-specific target audiences and needs
  • Experience of working within a team to meet agreed organisational digital needs – preferably in a research environment

This is a part-time position on average of 1 day per week and is fixed term for 2 years in the first instance.
