We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, creating a community where colleagues feel respected and valued. We aim to reflect the diversity of our students and communities, and to strengthen our university through collaboration and diverse perspectives, across all roles at the University.
The UK Student Recruitment Service is responsible for the recruitment of all students from the UK to our Hull-based campus, including all levels of study and portfolio areas.
The Service is organised into three teams: Schools and Colleges Liaison, Events and Applicant Experience, and Access and the Humber Outreach Programme.
The UK Student Recruitment Service aims to attract a diverse pool of high-quality students to apply; widen access and participation; maximise conversion opportunities through face-to-face and online engagement; and – ultimately, grow enrolments according to strategic priorities and institutional targets.
The Events and Applicant Experience team is responsible for the delivery of all on campus student recruitment events; the University of Hull presence at all UK-based off campus student recruitment events; the conversion of final year undergraduate students to PG study; and for providing a high quality face-to-face applicant experience whether this is on campus or online.
Are you an organised, enthusiastic and customer-focused professional who thrives on delivering exceptional events and experiences? We are looking for a Student Recruitment Officer (Events) to join our Events and Applicant Experience Team on a maternity cover basis and play a key role in attracting and inspiring the next generation of University of Hull students.
As part of the UK Student Recruitment Service, you will help deliver a varied programme of student recruitment and conversion activities, including Open Days, Applicant Days, postgraduate recruitment events, campus visits and outreach activities. You will work closely with colleagues across the University to ensure prospective students receive an outstanding experience from first enquiry through to enrolment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering a range of recruitment and applicant experience projects, ensuring events run smoothly and achieve their objectives.
This is a highly visible and rewarding role requiring excellent organisation, relationship-building and communication skills.
Experience within higher education, student recruitment or events management would be advantageous but is not essential.
Why Join Us?
At the University of Hull, you'll be part of a collaborative and ambitious team dedicated to helping prospective students make informed choices about their future. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact through engaging events and experiences that support recruitment, widening participation and student success.
Additional Information
This role requires flexibility, including occasional evening and weekend working, as well as travel within the UK, and could include some overnight stays.
