This is an exciting opportunity to contribute both to the Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology (DEdCPsy) initial training course and the development of the profession. The DEdCPsy is a three year full time programme approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) as a course of professional Doctoral training in Educational Psychology. It is designed to give students the skills, competencies and HCPC registration required to practise as an educational psychologist. You will support teaching, practical placements and research supervision for the DEdCPsy course. You will supervise trainee Educational Psychologists and participate in other forms of in-service training. You will join the existing tutor team in coordinating and delivering the full range of activities on the DEdCPsy, as well as supporting the delivery of learning and teaching activities across relevant areas of the School’s portfolio.
You will hold a degree in Psychology plus a further qualification in Educational Psychology and, be a fully qualified HCPC registered Educational Psychologist. In addition, you will have experience in designing and delivering in-service training, and supervision of students, as well as the ability to design and deliver specified DEdCPsy seminars across all year groups, identifying learning objectives in line with the appropriate curricula defined by BPS/HCPC learning outcomes.
