About the role:

The Senior Partnerships Manager (Sponsors & Scholarships) role sits within the Global Engagement team in the IES directorate. The role holder is responsible for developing, delivering and managing King’s strategic partnerships with international sponsors, including Embassies and other organisations. The role has a global portfolio, with a special focus on scholarship and sponsorship programmes in the Middle East and Africa.

The role will require the post holder to work closely with representatives and officials at all levels, including very senior stakeholders, to develop mutually beneficial long-term strategic partnerships and leverage the impact of partner sponsorship for King’s international strategy.  The post holder will have strong acumen in developing partnerships, as well as key skills in delivering pro-active stakeholder engagement, problem solving and influencing across King’s.

They will work with colleagues across King’s to develop and maintain systems and processes to accurately track and manage student success, data and financial arrangements.

The postholder will also be responsible for evaluating new scholarship opportunities, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to deliver these opportunities and maximise mutual benefit. The post holder will work closely with faculties and Professional Services colleagues to ensure delivery of these objectives. Engagement is key to this role, and the post holder will manage internal and external events and all other activities to maximise engagement and outcomes.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 17/09/2027 or until the return of the substantive post holder.

About you:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  • First degree or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Experience in strategic stakeholder development and assessing opportunities.
  • Experience of communication and relationship development with external and internal stakeholders at all levels, adapting message, style and manner as needed.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining organisational partnerships, preferably in the higher education sector or similar.
  • Demonstrable understanding of international student sponsorship schemes and how these are managed.
  • Experience of designing and delivering a strategy for stakeholder engagement, delivering and hosting stakeholder focused events.
  • Experience of developing and managing cross-organisation processes and systems to track and manage data and outcomes.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working in the higher education sector.
  • Experience of working cross-organisationally in a complex environment with competing priorities.
  • Fluency in Arabic.
