About us
UCL's Education Services department is responsible for providing services to UCL’s 50,000 students that centre around UCL's education and student experience policy framework.
Academic Policy, Quality & Standards (APQS) manages UCL's quality assurance processes and supports the development and maintenance of academic policies and procedures. We work closely with colleagues across the university to support the enhancement of the student experience.
About the role
The Education Quality Administrator is the first point of contact for enquiries to the APQS team. The role has responsibility for the administration of approximately 900 External Examiners, including processing nominations, fees and expenses, managing associated enquiries, and supporting financial year-end reporting.
The postholder will also coordinate the scheduling of committees and working groups and review visits; contribute to the creation and maintenance of APQS web content; and assist with the continual improvement of team processes and records management practices.
This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.This role is offered on a full time basis with hybrid working with currently a minimum of 1-day per week onsite at our London Kings Cross offices (subject to change).
About you
You will possess strong organisational skills and be able to skilfully manage a large and varied workload whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You will have experience of administrative work in a busy environment, ideally within higher or further education, and be confident managing high-volume administrative processes efficiently.You will be an effective communicator, able to build positive working relationships with colleagues and provide clear advice.
Above all, you will have a flexible, proactive and helpful approach to work, with a willingness to learn and develop within a large and complex institution.
