About the role
As Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education (Primary/Early Years), you will make a significant contribution to the delivery and development of our undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum. You will hold Qualified Teacher Status and have substantial experience of curriculum design, teaching and assessment within primary and/or early years education. Ideally, you will also have experience of university-based Initial Teacher Education, particularly at Level 7.
You will contribute to research and knowledge exchange activities within one of our Research Units and support the University’s ambitions for the next Research Excellence Framework exercise. Where appropriate, you may also contribute to Faculty research centres and supervise postgraduate students.

About you
You will be an enthusiastic, highly skilled and supportive professional with excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to providing an outstanding experience for students, colleagues and external partners.
You will bring substantial teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level, together with relevant qualifications and specialist knowledge of primary and/or early years education. You will have experience of delivering high-quality learning and teaching that supports positive student outcomes. Experience of supervising postgraduate students to successful completion would be desirable.
You will ideally have a developing research profile and experience of research, knowledge exchange, externally funded projects or continuing professional development. You will be able to work collaboratively and contribute positively to the continued development of Initial Teacher Education.
