Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Part-Time Teaching Associate who will contribute teaching on the Healthcare Innovation (HI) Programme and associated short courses. The role will be based at the Department of Engineering's Central Cambridge site.

The Healthcare Innovation Programme is a set of three successive part-time courses (PgCert/PgDip/MSt) designed to fit with the demands of full-time employment. The objective of the programme is to provide knowledge and understanding of the healthcare system and the technologies applicable to this sector, giving students the expertise and skills needed to innovate successfully in healthcare. The programme is delivered through a combination of face-to-face sessions in Cambridge, online sessions, and self-directed learning. The Teaching Associate will contribute across the whole MSt course, and associated short courses.

Educated to PhD level, or with related equivalent experience, in topics related to healthcare engineering and innovation, the successful candidate will demonstrate a strong technical knowledge across a range of topics related to healthcare and the MSt course. You will have some experience of teaching delivery and/or the design of teaching materials at university level. You will also be able to demonstrate presentation skills for spoken and written communication and possess the necessary attributes to represent the Healthcare Innovation programme to students, the wider University and externally.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 year in the first instance.
