We welcome applications to join the Academic Excellence Unit as a Trusted Research Manager.
About the Role
This newly created role will lead the development and delivery of Trusted Research across the University. Working within the Research Excellence team, you will help ensure that research and international collaborations are innovative, secure and compliant, while fostering a culture of integrity, responsibility and good research practice.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the University, you will provide expert advice, lead assurance and due diligence processes, develop policies and training, and champion best practice.
This highly visible role offers the chance to influence institutional practice, shape research governance and make a significant contribution to the University's research excellence agenda.
About You
You will bring significant experience of supporting research within a Higher Education or research-intensive environment, alongside an understanding of research governance, Trusted Research and the wider regulatory landscape. You will have a track record of developing and implementing policies, processes or frameworks, and of delivering effective guidance and training to support good practice.
A confident and credible communicator, you will be skilled at building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels. You will combine excellent analytical and organisational skills with the ability to manage sensitive information, balance competing priorities and deliver projects successfully. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, you will be proactive, adaptable and committed to enabling high-quality, responsible research.
